What We've Been Up To...
July 2023
Long time no email!
We love that there is a holiday called Email Debt Forgiveness Day in April… but we’re sending it now!
Here’s some things that happened since we last emailed you a monthly update:
We moved and renovated our NY office which also happens to be a coworking space. (We have the one in Bar Harbor Maine too still, don’t worry.) It’s tempting to show a before and after picture but what we really lived in between July 2023 and April 2024 was a transition. (That’s the picture below.) Tarps, drills, a million decisions in a partially done space. If you’ve ever done this kind of process you know how exhausting and all consuming it can be! You can keep up with us at AnchorspacePotsdam.com and on the Instagram and Facebook pages.
Nicole got her Facebook account hacked from July 2023 to April 2024. It was a small nightmare but thankfully Jessica could still post stuff to our socials.
Our YouTube channel got monetized - don’t worry, we aren’t quitting our day jobs! It’s just nice to be paid a bit from the videos we are making.
We’ve taught three ‘making social media video’ workshops that have gone really well and we’re working on planning more events both in real life and online because this whole pandemic thing really put the kibosh on our workshop game.
Pretty big shifts in our industry between AI and inflation causing people to not buy as much marketing as they were previously.
The world we are currently all living in of war, poverty, and other hard stuff.
In short, we’ve been a bit lower on bandwidth than we’ve wanted to be but our goal is to be back and sharing useful links, upcoming workshop info, and other information you can use related to business and marketing - thanks for sticking around!
Happy summer,
Nicole

Trending Videos In Your Marketing
Free Webinar
Wednesday, July 31 at 12 PM EST Online
You get you’re supposed to make videos for social media… but what’s with making ‘trending’ videos? How do you find out what’s cool on different platforms? How does your video get associated with other videos on the trend? This webinar will cover what you need to know about trending videos and how you can make more for your business social media content.
Our Newest Offer - Trend To Send
In our last video workshop, someone asked, “How do you keep up with the video trends?" We really didn’t know how to answer them except be online a lot. But in reality, all the social media platforms have areas where you can see what’s hot at any given moment:
For Instagram, go to your page on your phone and click on ‘Professional Dashboard’ and then scroll down to ‘Trending audio’ section for the list. For YouTube, they actually have a page: https://www.youtube.com/feed/trending
For TikTok, they have an actual page which I think has the best info breakdown of any of them: https://ads.tiktok.com/business/creativecenter/inspiration/popular/pc/en
But how is someone supposed to wade through all this stuff; figure out what could work for small business; understand the trend; and then film and edit a video? Apparently, we actually enjoy this as it turns out!
Enter our new service - Trend To Send! We send a twice weekly text message that includes: a) a short video showing the trend, breaking it down, and filming an example version and b) links to all the trending audio on the different platforms so you don’t have to hunt for it.
Check it out, especially if you have an intern or enthusiastic staff who want to help with your marketing!
