Systems

Breaking Even Communications News

Systems are so hot, especially when the 'new year' rolls around.

We all want to do everything better, faster, and... stronger? (Thanks for not rolling your eyes too hard at that dated Kanye West lyric reference.)

This month we look at systems, ours mainly, in hopes that they help you develop some of your own.

If you're worried your business will seem like it's being run by creepy robots if you use too many systems, we have the antidote for that too.

And let's take the chance to say: best wishes to you, your loved ones, and your business in the upcoming year. I hope 2017 is as ready for me as I am for it!

Online Systems

Using online systems can save you time, money, and (maybe as importantly) headaches. Here are some articles you may appreciate about systems:

Hint: you may already be using systems. It's not scary or robotic, really.

From websites you like to stuff your aunt emails you, managing incoming information is a system we all need to figure out.

How do you deal with texts, email, Facebook messages, Twitter DMs, Snapchats, and all the rest? Here's how we (try) to do it.

How do you blast out all the messages you want to blast out? Here's how we (try) to do that.

Stuff to do? How to do more of it, better.

Yes you want to call your grandma more. Here's how to actually do that.

Noteworthy This Month

Noteworthy From Nicole

I have no idea why I waited until now for mobile check depositing but it is AMAZING. Seriously, try it. I didn't trust it either but it has saved me three trips to the bank so far.

Noteworthy From Kassie

Apple's commercial for the holidays, called

has reduced me to tears at least a dozen times in the past month. The branding is very subtle (you only see the Apple logo flash by once in the video) but...well done.

Noteworthy From John

I forgot how much I liked this Paul Simon song (American Tune), plus in this video, he has a pretty awesome mustache. Listen here.

Our most popular blog post this month is about how (and maybe why) you should hire someone to write your blog. It's an oldie but goodie. You can read it here.

College of the Atlantic had a beautiful website built recently but they needed some help: keyword research, page description writing, and adding remarketing pixels were too much to add to the staff's existing too long to-do list so we help them out as they need it with website help, training, and consulting. COA is an exciting part of our community and we're excited we can return their contributions by helping with their online presence.
