Your Fall Business Goals - Here's Some Help ðŸ ̃€

A season of change...
Fall is just about my favorite time of year. Here in Maine, we enjoy things like crisp mornings, leaves changing color, and sort of the best things about summer... but with a nod to the fact things are changing. Here at Breaking Even, things are changing too.Kassie gave birth last month to a beautiful daughter Keziah. John has accepted a promotion at his full time job so is moving on.Nicole has booked a trip to Paris in November. We're working with some new partners: designers, videographers, and more to bring our clients new services. When I was younger, I used to be sad about these changes. Now though, I understand if the life I loved when I was 25 was still the same, I wouldn't have met a lot of my favorite people or done a lot of my favorite things.Fall is a great time to take stock of things in your home and work life. What is serving you? What isn't? Most people have two goals they can agree on:1) Do more effective marketing so customers and potential customers can better find and understand their products/services/mission, and2) Make more income off what they are already doing. This newsletter has a little bit of both of those things. So if you know someone interested in either, forward this to them and help them get their fall resolutions in place. If you have any questions, email us or stop by Anchorspace. Always happy to talk to friends.Times they are a changin'Nicole and the Breaking Even Team

If on a more fundamental level you aren't sure where to start (or how to get ideas to help you start), this post is about that.
No matter what you do, whether you send updates to an email list or do a clever video, you are going to want people to do something AFTER. Usually that means going to a web page (order form, PDF download, etc.) A 'landing page' is what we call that finish line.
How we feel about paid ads: when to use them, why to use them, and why they shouldn't be the only marketing thing you do.
Since you can only manage what you can measure, this post is about what stats are available to you as you evaluate marketing efforts.

When Linda called us and said she was speaking before a large national organization in less than 24 hours and wanted to be able to sell copies of her book on her site, we got to work. We moved her blog to a self hosted Wordpress format (without altering the design), created an online payment form, and added email subscription options. Linda's book is about her life in the Peace Corps working in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
