Social Media During Wartime

Marketing Shorts This Month

It's a different day in the age of social media being intimately connected with world affairs. Many people are seeking information about what is going on overseas in Russia and Ukraine, not just from the news channels, but now they are seeking information from social media sources. We are given new real-time up-to-date perspectives on many fronts now. But more than ever, it's important to not relay misinformation. The White House took advantage of this growing trend and reached out to influential Content Creators in a White House briefing about Ukraine. This is a great way to use modern resources to connect with people of all generations to where you get your news from. Check out one of the Content Creators Khalil Green.Originally from Japan in 1994, QR were used as a way to track vehicle parts in the assembly stages. Through the last couple decades, they have become ever-increasing. You can scan one at a restaurant to see a touchless menu, send payment easily and securely, keep track of inventory in supply chains, and more recently used them in marketing and advertising campaigns. You can also help support humanitarian efforts with QR codes. If you’re looking for a comprehensive article about the power of social media in this conflict, this New York Times piece is pretty comprehensive.

Tools Of Our Trade

We created a list of all our favorite tools on the site. (Related to that, this will likely be our last email newsletter via Mailchimp - we’ve been experimenting on Anchorspace with SendGrid and love it.) If you’re wondering what we use, this is a pretty complete list! And we’ll keep adding as we find more.
