July Note Taking 2016
📠Noted!

Hi Friends.
I don't know about you but I have a lot of ideas.
And I've always struggled with how to capture them: the to do lists, the songs your friends suggested you might like, the articles you want to read later.
Technology can help, sure. But where do you start?
We've been thinking about tools we like and techniques we use and thought we'd make this month all about notes. How to take them, where to take them, what to do with them after. Forward this to your favorite idea person for them to enjoy too!

Taking Note: Organizing Your Ideas In A Digital World
While having information electronically has made lives easier in a lot of ways, it has made us all a bit more overwhelmed. What to do with all your ideas and notes from your offline and online life? We have ideas... and you don't even have to write them down.
Noteworthy This Month

I thought Spotify was too hipster for me. I really did. Then I saw their 'try us for $0.99 a month all summer' deal and bit the bullet. I was known for my music mixes in my early 20s so happy to be getting back to curating some music.

is my new favorite fitness tool. There's a mobile and online version, you can track any type of activity AND add pictures, and there's a social component that rivals al the other websites I've used. It's free, but if you pay a bit, you can set goals and access training plans.

I highly recommend a visit to any of Maine's state parks, many of which feature beautiful beaches (Popham, Reed), and opportunities to spy wildlife such as nesting ospreys (Wolfe's Neck Woods).
Also this summer, L.L. Bean continues its free concert series. Years past has seen big national names such as Toad the Wet Sprocket and Blues Traveler (for those of us who still live in the 90s).

I guess people were feeling friendly recently. This wall decal we posted on Pinterest got close to 1000 views. (Link to it in case you want to get it.) Follow us on Pinterest and you can see unexpectedly popular stuff like this!

Our month's most popular post was about the Seal Cove Auto Museum. Read about this local (and fun having) museum here.

We moved these guys to an online reservation form two years ago and they never looked back. Since then, we periodically add new information to their website and otherwise try to keep things paddling forward.
