Are You Bot Or Not? 🤖

what's going on
Hi Friends,Sometimes I get super obsessed with something... and for the past six months, I've wanted to conquer bots.Even though no client has asked me to make one. Even though I find them kind of intimidating. I built my first couple bots (on my own Facebook pages) to test out. Like most new things, I wish it was better... but if you are intrigued by this idea of robots doing you bidding, check out the resources below.... or at least get a Roomba, which effortlessly vacuums your floors. I LOVE mine! And just embrace that the first thing you make never quite comes out the way you planned, whether it's artistic, business, or something else. It's those of us who keep trying anyway who get to break through to the really cool stuff... and while we're waiting we can at least have a clean floor for trusting a Roomba. ;^)Happy Fall and happy botting,Nicole (Nate and Jane say hi)
Why Bots Are Hot
Have you ever talked to a robot? If you thought robots doing our jobs for us were empty promises of the future (like jetpacks), think again!
You may have seen messages in your Facebook manager with fancy buttons and seemingly instantaneous response time, chances are you are dealing with a bot. Here's a welcome message we've programmed recently for Anchorspace Bar Harbor Facebook page when someone wants to message with us:

(Another one pops up a few seconds later saying you can just type your question/idea too.)
As you see, something like this is not only powerful for getting your customers to the right information but also allows you to test messaging (which buttons get clicked on) and engage with your customers (in the case here, 4 people who became bot subscribers in the last 48 hours).
Bots are part programming, part marketing as you try to imagine conversation that flows in a way that's engaging and personal. More than 90% of customers will go to the business that's most responsive and bots in Facebook messenger help you be just that.
In the class I just took, I learned
there are 6.5 million Facebook business pages but only about 300,000 bots. In other words, you could get ahead of the curve
by just being open to the idea of a robot doing *some* of your customer service!
