August 2017- Mom Blogs

All About Mom Blogging 👶

You've probably heard of "Mom Blogging" before.

But if you're like me, you may not have understood what exactly that meant. For instance, I assumed mom blogs were all about how to save money buying diapers, comparing different brands of baby shampoo, and thoughts on effective discipline. In light of recent/upcoming events, we did find a lot of those blogs helpful...but it turns out, "mom blogging" is a lot more than writing about motherhood. (Kassie's starting her motherhood journey recently which got these on our radar.)Many of the topics in this month's series can be actually used for any sort of blogger/person who works from home. So whether you are an actual mom who blogs or have a blog you are starting or maintaining, we bet we have som ideas that can help.If you have any questions, email us or stop by Anchorspace. Always happy to talk to friends.'See' you soon,Nicole and the Breaking Even Team

Noteworthy This Month

Noteworthy From Nicole

So #GoodwillDateNight has a simple premise. Two people each get $10 to buy the other person an outfit at Goodwill. Once you find it, you assume fake identities and go out wearing the outfit. I think this sounds fun not just as a date but with friends or family too. It's easy to get in a doing stuff rut, try something new!

Noteworthy From Kassie

Both my mom and my brother have (or will have) new puppies this year.

is right around the corner for me, and their “Barkery” is pretty much THE place to go for doggie treats. There are lots of options, but I almost always go for the bacon. And locals get a 10% discount!

Noteworthy From John

Fans of Stranger Things can start celebrating- they've announced Season 2 will be starting up again October 27th. Viewers can also get excited about the rumors that things will get even stranger this season...and potentially a new montser.

Wilderness Edge Campground

When the Wilderness Edge Campground wasn't getting their reservations through their website, we worked out a fix and spent almost a week testing to ensure all submissions came through. We billed them for a few hours of work and gave them a reservation system that saved bookings on the website in addition to submitting them to the owners via email, creating a booking 'insurance policy'.
